How do they work?
Featured Ads are randomly generated to allow all those who purchase them to have an equal chance to appear on the site. Because of this your ad will not always show up in the applicable Featured Ads section. However, they will appear approximately every 3rd time a page is refreshed.
What is the benefit?
The benefit of Featured Ads is to substantially increase the visibility of your ad. On average,10 times more people may see your ad compared to regular ads.* In the categories with the most ads you may get as many as 23 times the visibility.*
How do I buy a Featured Ad?
You can buy a Featured Ad from the last step of the posting process which confirms that your ad has been listed. You select whether you want to buy a Home Page Featured Ad or a Top of the Listings and Search Results Featured Ad or both. You select how many weeks you want to feature your ad for. You are then taken to the payment page. Your item will then be reviewed for approval. Once it’s approved you will receive an email confirmation. Please remember that no refunds will be given once you have purchased a Featured Ad.
How much do they cost?
Home Page Featured Ads cost $10 per week.
Top of the Listings and Search Results Featured Ads cost $2 per week.
Home Page Featured Ads are not available for ads in Personals.
How long can I feature my ads?
Featured ads are sold per week. You can feature your ads for up to 6 weeks. At that point they will expire. You then have the choice to re-list and choose either the free option or repeat your listing as a featured ad.
What if I don't see my ad in the Featured Ads Section?
If you bought a Featured Ad and don’t see it in the chosen category, please:
- Ensure you received an email confirmation verifying that your featured ad was approved by us. It may take up to 24 hours for Featured Ads to be approved.
- Confirm the start and end dates for your Featured Ad in the email confirmation.
- Remember that your ad is in “rotation” with others in the same category and location so it’s not always shown.*
- If you still see have problems, please contact us.
Can I modify my Featured Ad?
Featured Ads cannot be modified until the Featured Ad option expires. This is for the convenience of users who may have bookmarked your ad.
If you want to make changes to your Featured Ads, you can either:
- Wait until the Featured Ad option expires, change your ad and renew the Featured Ad option again, or
- For important changes contact us.

Terms for Featured Ads
In addition to PCL’s Terms of Use, the following terms apply to the use of Featured Ads:
- As proof of payment for a Featured Ad, PCL will only issue an “Order Confirmation” At the end of the payment process you will receive a payment confirmation as well as an email confirmation. This is the only proof of payment issued by PCL for a Featured Ad.
- If, for technical or other reasons, your ad does not appear in the “Featured Ad” section, PCL’s only obligation is to place your ad in the “Featured Ad” section as soon as practicable for us to do so.
- At PCL’s sole discretion, any Ads which contravene the Terms of Use will not be featured and the payment will not be refunded.
- PCL assumes no liability or responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the content listed in the featured ad service.
